PAINTING MY WORLD
Karen Smit was born 1959 and lives in Tzaneen, Limpopo Province, South Africa.
She obtained a Fine Arts Degree in sculpture from the University of Pretoria.
She opted to focus more on painting and completed an online course through the Virtual Art Academy in 2022.

"PAINTING MY WORLD"
Whenever my husband and I travel, I take as many pictures as possible of the interesting and beautiful things I find. I use these inspiring memories for my paintings.
Initially, I used Acrylic paint but later switched over to Water Mixable Oil paint. The latter takes longer to dry and the brushes can be cleaned with soap and water.
